Heartsaver AED

The Heartsaver AED program targets all lay responders, such as teachers, firefighters, police, commercial airline crews, security personnel, employees in the workplace, family members of patients at high risk for sudden cardiac death, and other laypersons. Students will learn to recognize the signs of four major emergencies-heart attack, stroke, cardiac arrest and foreign-body airway obstruction. These responders learn Adult/Child CPR, hands-on practice scenarios with an AED, relief of choking in adults and children, and the use of barrier devices. The infant segment remains an optional module.

Course length: 3 hours (add ½ hour for infant CPR)
